RECIPE: 1 (30-32 oz.) package of frozen hash brown potatoes, thawed 3/4 cup melted margarine, divided 1 pound sausage, cooked and drained (optional) 1/2 cup chopped onions 1 can cream of chicken soup, undiluted 1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded 2 cups cornflakes, crushed Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine potatoes and 1/2 cup margarine. Add sausage, if using, onions, soup and sour cream and cheese. Mix well. Spoon into 9-by-13-inch quart casserole dish. Crush cereall and stir in remaining 1/4 cup margarine. Sprinkle cereal over potatoes. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes. Yields 10 servings. Note: Recipe can be frozen and baked at a later date.
